当下文学人类学意义上的大传统指的是前文字时代的传统,服务于重构中国文化观这一现实诉求。如何利用非书写资料阐释中国版图内不同区域的文化在同一时段内的互动关系,继而重构该时期的文化传统,成为当前文学人类学大小传统理论建构的关键问题。《米诺王权与太阳女神》一书通过解读米诺时期金戒指上图像的意义,还原了米诺时期地中海文化共同体的本原面目,为中国文学人类学关于大传统关键问题的探讨提供了跨学科研究范式。

The great tradition refers to the pre--writing age in the sense of literary anthro- pology which serves for reconstructing the Chinese cultural perspective. How to interpret the relationships between difference regions in the same period of time in China by the non--writ- ing materials, and then to constructure the cultural tradition, it＇s the key issues of the theo- retical work on great and little tradition. Minoan Kingship and the Solar Goddess： A Near Eastern Koine distils the Mediterranean community to it＇s essence by reading the image on the golden rings of Minoan age, which provides the interdisciplinary paradigm for the key issues of literary anthropology on the great tradition.
