“双文化图式”在大学英语教学中的构建——以《新视野大学英语》为例

On Construction of Bi-cultural Schemata in College English Teaching: A Case Study on New Horizon College English

英汉两种语言的文化图式都自成体系,英语学习中,既要构建英语言相关的文化图式,又要构建汉语言相关的文化图式,即"双文化图式"。在大学英语教学中,《新视野大学英语》教程的授课可采用教师课堂阐述和学生课外自主学习两种主要途径,以思维方式、文化负载词、文化空缺词等为重点,帮助大学生构建"双文化图式",提高其英语言应用能力和文化素养。

Both English and Chinese languages have their own cultural schemata, so in English learning, the students should construct bi-cultural schemata. Based on New Horizon College English, students＇ cultural sense and bi-cultural schemata can be built through teachers＇ explanation and students＇ autonomous learning in college English teaching, with the emphasis of ways of thinking, culture-loaded words and culture-gap words, so as to help the students construct bi-cultural schemata and improve their ability of English application and cultural accomplishment.
