Based on the field research on the English translation of public signs in Hezhou, mistakes or problems, such as misspelling, improper letter composition, Chiglish and versions＇ identification and uniform and so on, have been analyzed. In order to improve the translation and regulation of bilingual public signs, the followings are absolutely necessary： focusing on Hezhou bilingual public signs, for a further understanding, an pan-investigation, a regulated application and a practice of setting up a committee to check the translation and a strict specialized management to control the translation outcome.
