西方资本主义的侵略对中国经济的近代化产生了重大的影响。鸦片战争前，中国社会经济的发展水平仍很低，19世纪六七十年代产生的中国资本主义近代工业，主要是西方侵略影响的结果。但西方的侵略又导致中国社会长期处于战争和动荡之中，经济近代化的进程缺乏一个良好的政治环境，巨额资金的外流又造成中国资本主义近代工业发展所需资金的严重短缺。因此，西方侵略又对中国经济的近代化起了巨大的阻碍作用。

Western invasions had a profound effect on the modernization of Chinese economy.Before the Opium War, tha level of Chinese economy was very low and the bith of modern industries of the Chinese capitalism results generally from Western invasions.The invasions .however,also led the Chinese society to the war and unrest and the modernization of economy did not have a favorable political environment;in addition,outflow of large sums of money deprived the Chinese modern industries of the necessary funds.So,Western invasions also hindered the modernization of Chinese economyu.
