摘要
从早年学生时代在新加坡的学术交流,到2003年开始的在《联合早报》开设专栏,以及201 2年成为连瀛洲学者,作者亲历了新加坡与中国的诸多公共外交活动。通过对新中公共外交的了解和学习,作者提出了公共外交将有利于中国对外开放和提高公民体面而富有尊严的生活的新观点。
Being an exchange student to Singapore in the early years,and starting his own column for Lianhe Zaobao since 2003,the author has been extensively engaging in China-Singapore public diplomacy activities and has gained ample experience.He was awarded the prestigious Lien Ying Chow Legacy Fellowship in 2012.Based on the author's knowledge and insight in ChinaSingapore public diplomacy,this article proposes a new argument that public diplomacy is conducive to China's opening up and improving the well-being of its people.
