Sino-Japanese Exchange of Friendship Monument Inscription

1962年10月,中日举行"友好碑文交换大会","日中不再战"和"中日两国人民世世代代友好下去"两块碑文分别树立在中国杭州市和日本岐阜市。此举首开战后中日民间和平友好之先河,充分表达了中日两国人民反对战争、热爱和平、祈愿中日世代友好的共同心愿。

In October 1962,China and Japan held an activity of 'Exchanging Friendship Monument Inscription'.The two monuments inscribed with 'Japan and China No Longer at War' and 'Long Lasting Friendship between the Chinese and Japanese Peoples' were established respectively in Hangzhou,China and Gifu,Japan.This endeavor pioneered the people-to-people friendship between China and Japan after the World War II,strongly demonstrating the common wishes of the people of both countries:opposing war,loving peace,and praying for China-Japan friendship lasting for generations.
