摘要
作为一座历史悠久的文化名城,扬州早在隋唐时期已是中国城市对外交往的先行者。近几年来,扬州地方政府公共外交意识不断增强,尤其是在开发历史名人资源方面独具特色。以鉴真、崔致远、马可·波罗、普哈丁四位历史名人为"品牌",开展了扬州与日本、韩国、欧洲和阿拉伯国家的公共外交活动。为此,本刊编辑部专访了扬州市政协主席洪锦华。
As a noted historic and cultural city,the City of Yangzhou became been a pioneer in foreign exchanges as far back as Sui and Tang Dynasties.In recent years,the municipal government of Yangzhou has been increasingly and consciously advancing public diplomacy and it is distinctively successful in using the potential of famous historic figures.The government develops 'branding' project for Monk Jianzhen,Cui Zhiyuan,Marco Polo,and Puhading to launch public diplomacy activities with Japan,Korea,Europe and the Arab countries.The editorial board presents an interview with Mr.Hong Jinhua,Municipal CPPCC Chairman of Yangzhou.
