托妮·莫里森是美国获得诺贝尔文学奖的第一位黑人女作家,《乐园》是莫里森获得诺贝尔奖后的又一部力作,一经出版便轰动美国文坛。在小说中,莫里森描述了身处种族歧视和性别歧视的黑人女性,在双重压迫下求取自我解放的艰辛历程。莫里森从女权主义视角出发,阐述了黑人女性对自我身份的不懈追求,在自我追求中,黑人女性已经逐步成为社会前进的有力推动者和黑人民族文化的传承者,并为整个黑人民族追求民族解放、探求自我主体意识提供了行动榜样。

Toni Morrison is the first black woman writer won the Nobel Prize for Literature in the United States, ＂Paradise＂ is a masterpiece after Morrison won the Nobel Prize, an American literary sensation by publishing it. In the novel, Morrison describes Language racial and gender discrimination black women, to strike the difficult process of self-liberation in the double oppression. Morrison from the feminist perspective, describes the black women on the relentless pursuit of self-identity, self-pursuit, black women have gradually become a powerful enabler and the black community forward national culture heritage, and for the whole nation to pursue black national liberation, self-consciousness seek to provide a model for action.
