An Analysis and Suggestion on the Urban Renewal of Old Areas in Historic Cities

历史文化名城是我国历史文化遗产的载体与重要组成部分,老街区是历史文化名城城市记忆与城市历史最完整的物质体现。在我国快速城市化进程中,以老街区改造为核心内容的历史文化名城城市更新面临许多亟待解决的问题:特色历史建筑消失、城市空间变异、城市肌理切断、城市社会网络瓦解等。在进行老街区改造时应更加慎重,采取合理方式进行。

Historic cities are the historical and cultural heritage while their old areas are the substan-tial memory of cities. In the accelerating process of China’ s urbanization, those cities face many urgent and serious problems, especially in the renewal of old areas, for example, the disappearance of historic buildings, spatial variation, cutting off of urban tissues and the disintegration of social network. The re-newal of old areas should be more careful and take reasonable way.
