This paper introduces the functions, characteristics, hardware and software of Japanese Yokogawa PROSAFE-RS ESD system. Also introduced is the application situation of this system in Henan Lianchuang Chemi- cal Co. , Ltd. , the interlocking conditions of the system in polymerization production, and its operational proce- dures. Application results show that, ESD system can meet control requirements to ensure safe production.
