置于中国古代、近代出版史来考量,山东出版业的地位和影响并不突出。清以前留存下来的出版史料极其有限,清代、民国和中华人民共和国成立后的三个不同历史阶段,山东的图书出版各有特色,总体趋势是逐渐往前进步的。近现代以来山东的期刊事业发展较快,特别是中共领导下的根据地、解放区的报刊还有图书编辑出版,形成了独特的风景。以《山东出版志资料》辑刊为代表的一批史料编撰、整理成果,展现了山东地区的出版风貌与成就,为大型出版史志著作的编写以及当今的出版实践提供了有价值的资源。

In ancient and modem China publishing history, Shandong publishing＇ s status and effects are not prominent. The publication archives which remained before Qing Dynasty are extremely limited, during the three different historical periods of Qing Dynasty, the Republic of China and the people＇s Republic of China, the book publishing of Shandong has its own characteristics, the overall trend is gradually forward progress. In modem times, the periodical industry of Shandong developed rapidly, especially the Jiefang District which under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, its newspaper and book publishing formed an unique scenery. Shandong Publication Archives Dcta as the representative of a number of historical compilation, collation ofthe results, shows the publishing history and achievements of Shandong area, provides important resources for large chronicles＇ compilation and publishing practice nowadays.
