玛克辛·格林基于左派立场,从存在主义角度出发提出教师作为"陌生人"的观点。"陌生人"具有张力达到最高水平的"全面觉醒"意识;遵循"做哲学"的行动逻辑,即在意识到困境后尝试改变,主要是知觉世界方式的改变;改变知觉世界方式的途径则是借助想象的桥梁,"与艺术相遇"。
As an existential phenomenologist, Maxine Greene regards teacher as stranger,whose tensxon ot consciousness reaches the highest, namely wide-awakeness, whose logic of action is to do philosophy and to try to change status quo facing the predicament with different way of perception of the world. Teacher will become a stranger by encountering with art with imagination.
