Firmly Grasp the Deng Xiaoping's Thought about Market Economy

为了正确理解我国市场取向改革的问题,包括理解党的十八届三中全会提出的"使市场在资源配置中起决定性作用"的问题,必须依据邓小平理论、尤其是他关于市场经济的理论来进行分析。把邓小平有关市场经济的思想概括起来,就是要牢牢把握住一点,即市场经济是发展生产的方法、调节经济的手段,而且市场经济必然要同一定的社会基本经济制度结合在一起。公有制是可以搞市场经济的,市场经济应该服从于、服务于基本经济制度,必须把市场的作用与政府的作用结合起来。

In order to correctly understand the market reform in China,including the problem of the 'market play a decisive role in resources allocation' which was proposed in the Third Plenary Session of the 18 th Central Committee of the CPC, we must rely on Deng Xiaoping theory, especially about his economic theory to analyze the problems. To sum up, we must firmly grasp one point about Deng Xiaoping's economic theory. The market economy is the method of the development production and regulating the economy; and the market economy is bound to the social basic economic system; public ownership can make market economy and market economy should be subordinated to and service to the basic economic system; the market economy must take the function of market and government together. That is the one point.
