摘要
通过对江南古典园林创作理论中情景、虚实、因借和意境论的分析，探讨对苏州古城的城市空间环境保护更新的启示，提出历史思维可以在现代城市生活中再生。
Based on the analysis of 'feelings and scenery', 'vacuous and positive', 'use of the setting', and 'spatial imagery' included in the designing theory of Suzhou classical garden, the writer explores the inspiration of protection and renewal of the city space in Suzhou and suggests that the historic thoughts should regenerate in the modern life of the city.
