John Naisbitt's Megatrend

Mister Naisbitt invented the concept of 'Megatrend' in the 1980 s. His first book, Megatrends, published in 1982 and on the New York Times bestseller list for two years, anticipated Asia's rise. Naisbitt founded the Naisbitt China Institute, a non-profit, independent research institution in Tianjin, which studies the social, cultural and economic transformation of China. In 2009, he published China's Megatrends, a book analyzing China's rise. Although many of his predictions have come true, he modestly says: 'I am not a futurist, I only focus on now.'
