荷兰艺术家、“大黄鸭之父”弗洛伦泰因·霍夫曼专门为上海打造的大型公共装置艺术品“大粉猫”近目亮相上海。这是一只全身竹制的粉色猫，身高lO米。对于这件作品的灵感，霍夫曼称，他看到了竹子这一原材料，就想到用这种本土材料来制作，而猫的形象则来自他在上海公园偶遇的流浪猫。
Florentijn Hofman, the Dutch artist behind the sensationally over- hyped inflatable rubber duck, has brought his latest creation to Shanghai. His latest work is smaller, standing at ＇only＇ ten meters, and is made from bamboo. The artist wanted to use traditional Chinese materials this time round and says that his work was inspired by the stray cats he saw around Shanghai＇s parks.
