Water disinfection in rural areas: main issues and measures

通过对已建成的6个农村供水消毒技术示范县农村供水工程现场调研与水质检测,对农村供水消毒现状和存在的问题进行分析,提出了相应的对策与建议,重点是提高认识、加强领导,严把工程设计与验收关,建立消毒设备市场准入制度,加强工程运行管理、人员培训和行业监管等,以提高农村供水消毒技术水平和管理水平,推动和促进农村饮水安全。

An investigation is made to the current situation of water disinfection in rural areas and associated problems through on-site surveys and water quality inspections to six demonstration counties. Relevant measures and suggestions are proposed, such as raising awareness, strengthening leadership, implementing strict control over project design and check, establishing an admission system for disinfection equipment entering into the market, strengthening project operation and maintenance, personnel training and supervision of industries, so as to enhance technical and management level and ensure safety of drinking water in rural areas.
