The paper discussed the application of four-pole switch of diesel generator system and UPS system in power plant. The reasons that the diesel generator did not use the four-pole switch, were analyzed. Whether we used the four-pole switch depended on the specific situations in UPS system. For example, the over current switch should be the four-pole switch in IT system.
