Breeding of ‘Huayu 40’ through EMS Mutagenesis

花育40号是山东省花生研究所将浓度为0.3%的化学诱变剂甲基磺酸乙酯(EMS)注入花生品种花育16号开放的花朵内,育成的高产稳产、高出米率、适宜机械化收获的花生新品种。该品种具有广泛的适应性,于2011年通过安徽省非主要农作物品种鉴定委员会鉴定,2012年通过吉林省农作物品种审定委员会非主要农作物品种登记,2013年通过全国农作物品种鉴定委员会鉴定。

‘ Huayu 40＇ was developed through injecting 0.3% ethylmethane sulfonate directly into flowers of Huayu 16 at Shandong Peanut Research Institute. The cultivar was found to have high and stable yields, high shelling outturn, and agronomic characteristics suitable for mechanized harvest. With wide adaptability, Huayu 40 was approved for release in Anhui by the Anhui Crops Approval Committee（CAC） in 2011, in Jilin by the Jilin CAC in 2012 and in northern China by China CAC in 2013.
