A designing method and a coding approach for evaluation on manufacturing of stamped parts are put forword, and a knowledge-based DFS system is established, which aims to provide quantitative manufacturability feedback about stamping process and die to product designers at the early design stage in time. Lastly, the application of the knowledge-based Design for Stamping system is illustrated with an example.
