外商直接投资对江苏区域经济影响的实证分析——基于空间面板模型

FDI Impact on Regional Economy in Jiangsu:An Empirical Analysis Based on Spatial Panel Model

本文在增长理论和空间经济学框架下,选取2004-2012年江苏13个市统计数据,运用Matlab软件建立空间面板模型,研究外商直接投资对江苏区域经济增长的空间效应。结果表明本市的外商直接投资不仅会对本市的经济产生促进作用,即直接效应;也会带动邻近市的经济发展,即间接效应。此外,内资对经济的贡献比外资大,且外溢强度也高于外资。江苏省各市之间存在很强的空间依赖性,经济互动效应明显,这为江苏省合理利用外商直接投资来促进区域经济协调发展提供政策依据。

This paper constructs a spatial panel model to study the spatial ef- fects of FDI on economic growth in Jiangsu Province. Under the framework of growth theory and the spatial econometrics, the paper selects statistics of 13 cit- ies from 2004 to 2012, using Matlab software to analyze the spatial effects. The results show that the FDI of a local city will not only promote its own econom- ic development, which can be called a direct effect, but also stimulate the eco- nomic development of its neighbor cities, which is an indirect effect. In addition, the study indicates that the contribution of domestic investment is larger than that of foreign capital and the former＇ s spillover effects are stronger than the latter＇ s. On the whole, there is a strong spatial correlation between different cit- ies in Jiangsu Province, which provides the policy basis for the full use of for- eign direct investment to promote economic development.
