摘要
《妇女杂志》是民国时期出版时间最长、影响最大的女性刊物,其传播机制与性别话语空间构建值得探讨。从"通讯"与"编辑余录"分析编读互动空间的建立;通过"发刊词"与"征稿启事"来看编辑议程设置;通过对图像和译作中的西方女性的分析,探讨新女性构建中的异质因素的介入和参与,分析图书广告如何模铸了女性的身份。《妇女杂志》的传播机制建构的是由男性编码的"女性世界",性别关系始终是男性"导师"与女性"学生"的关系。在社会转型的新历史语境下,杂志不但参与了女性的建构,而且将女性从传统话语带入现代性当中。
The Women's Journal was the most influential female publication in the period of the Repub lic of China. This paper makes an analysis on the communication system and discourse construction of The Women's Journal. This study analyzes the interaction between editors and readers through Newsletters and Editors' Notes; the establishment of agenda through Words for Publication and Notices for Articles; and dis cusses how alien factors got involved, and how the commercial mold a new figure for women by examining the western female images. The transmitting system of The Women's Journal built up a female world encoded by male. People adhered to the pattern that men were supervisors, while women students. The Women's Journal not only got involved in formation and construction of women but also described women from traditional dis- course to modem style under new historical background.
