边疆概念的抽象化与具体化——民族志书写与近代的相关尝试

Abstraction and embodiment of the frontier concept:the ethnographic writing and the related practices in morden time

在边疆问题的研究中,对边疆概念的梳理与研究是其中的重要一环。边疆概念的研究,一方面需要从历史文本中加以仔细梳理与分析,进而对边疆概念的历史发展脉络与流变有清晰的认识;而在另一方面,则需要通过对边疆社会与文化的实地调查与描述,对边疆社会的本真状态加以民族志书写,从而形成对于当前边疆社会生活逻辑的深刻体会,在此基础上对当代的边疆概念有具体化的了解与认识。只有在这两种认识的基础上,我们才能真正形成一种既有历史深度,同时又兼具现实感与可操作性的边疆概念。本文在对边疆研究基础概念进行概述的基础上,从西北边疆研究的相关分析出发,论述了民族志书写在边疆概念具体化过程中所起到的重要作用。

In the field of the frontier studies,the analysis and study of the frontier concept is one of the important issues.The study of the frontier concept,on the one hand,needs a detailed analysis of the historical texts,and then a clear understanding of the historical development and the transformation of the frontier concept;on the other hand,in order to understand the real borderland society,it is necessary to have a down-to-earth field investigation and description of the borderland society and culture,with a truthful ethnographic writing of the borderland society in order to have a profound understanding of the life logic of the contemporary borderland society and of the implications of the frontier concept.On the basis of these two recognitions,we can form a kind of frontier concept, which has not only the historical depth,but also the practical significance.On the related analysis of the basic terms of the borderland studies and the borderland studies of northwest China,this paper discusses the important role which ethnographic writing plays in the formation of frontier concept.
