Scrutiny of the Cultural Roots of Colonial Policy Adjustment

同一地域的人们因具有相同的风俗习惯、行为规范和价值标准,而形成了稳定的生存方式,文化即是对这一生存方式的理解和表达。殖民时代的冲突表面上看来是反抗殖民的斗争,究其根源是因生存方式的差异而导致的文化冲突。研究殖民策略调整的文化根源,旨在通过分析殖民时代冲突的实质来探究文化的力量,进一步探究殖民主义话语体系的形成,从而为中国文化软实力的提升提供些许借鉴。

People from the same place, sharing the same customs, norms and values, form a stable way of life, and culture is the understanding and expression of it. Seeing from the surface of it, conflict in the colonial era seems to be the struggle against colonialism; however, its deep reason is the cultural conflict caused by differences in the way of existence. The current research on the cultural roots of colonial policyadjustment aims to discuss the power of culture through analyzing the essence of thecolonial conflict, and further explore the＂formation of colonial discourse system, thusprovide some suggestion to enhance cultural soft power of China.
