摘要
本文介绍SOTER项目是利用目前已有的信息技术 ,建立一个包含数字化的地图单元和它们属性数据的世界土壤和土地数据库 .该数据库的主要功能是为已完善起来的世界土壤和土地资源变化的制图和监测提供必要的数据 .在此基础上提出我国土地资源多尺度数据库的建库模式 ,SOTER单元概念的发展 。
SOTER Project utilizes information technology to develop a world soil and terrain database, containing digitized map units and attribute data in a rational database management system. The main objective is to improve mapping and characterization of world soil and terrain resources. Base on the SOTER project, we put forward the building database paragon including the SOTER unit definition, multi-scale database division, and the method of linking up.
