Characterization of Residual Stresses near Interfaces in SiC_f/Al Model Composites

摘要 实验测定界面附近残余应力的分布有利于深入研究金属基复合材料变形和断裂行为的微观机制 ,对制备综合性能良好的复合材料具有指导作用 .采用束斑直径为 30 μm的微小 X射线束 ,测定了单根 Si C连续纤维及连续 Si C纤维束增强纯 Al模型复合材料中 Si C纤维附近基体中的周向和径向残余应力分布 ,并将测量结果与有限元模拟结果进行了比较 . Measurements of the residual stress distributions are beneficial to understanding the microscopic deformation and fracture behavior of composites and to manufacturing composites with excellent properties. The work presented is measurements of the residual stress distributions of the Al matrix near both single SiC continuous fiber and a bundle of SiC continuous fibers in SiCf/Al model composites using micro X-ray beam. Both the hoop residual stresses perpendicular to the radius of the fiber and the radial stresses parallel to the radius of the fiber were measured. The results were compared with those from the finite element method.
