摘要
本文从C/C复合材料的基体入手,分析了交联剂在沥青中的交联机理,并以此为基础对中温煤沥青在催化剂作用下进行交联反应。结果表明,交联剂在C/C复合材料基体中的交联作用非常明显,不仅基体本身的残碳率及耐热程度有很大提高,而且,以它制成的C/C复合材料的抗压强度也有显著增加。
Modified pitch is the matrix material for producing high quality graphite and carbon/carbon composite. The research by the authors on modified pitch possesses certain features as compared to past research. Otani et al took high-purity organic materials (Anthra, and Phenanthren) to make a special type of modified pitch called COPNA[1]. The authors succeed in improving industrial quality pitch to make it serve as good-quality modified pitch. It appears that the authors' modified pitch is better for practical work because no high-purity chemicals are required. Union Carbide Co. employed substances containing halogen, quinoline etc. to obtain modified pitch, but to the authors' best knowledge, the company did not explain how to keep environment free form contamination by halogen and quinoline etc. The authors' good-quality modified pitch does not contain any chemical that contaminates the environment. The authors believe that their modified pitch has a bright future in practical applications. Without employing expensive equipment such as those required by high pressure impregnation and carbonization, the carbon yield of modified pitch is as high as 70-80%. Carbon/ carbon composite based on pitch matrix produced with the authors' modified pitch show improvements in properties: temperature capability increased 20-30%, strength increased 50-80%.
