Challenges and opportunities that will be brought to our state-owned commercial banks by the entry into the WTO make effects not only on how understand the entry into the WTO, but also on how we react to the WTO. China's entry into the WTO will neither bring about so many new cha-llenges to our state-owned commercial banks,nor offer so many new opportunities. On the basis fo those analyses, the thesis makes research into the essence of the challenges and opportunities to our state-owned commercial banks resulting from the WTO, and poses real challenges and opportunities that out state-owned commercial banks will face in order to survive and develop.
