英语教学艺术有激发学生英语学习兴趣、提高学生英语交际能力、培养学生对西方文化的鉴赏力等功能，它的范畴是很广泛的。在英语教学中成功地运用导入新课的艺术、教学语言艺术、板书艺术和激励艺术等会收到事半功倍的效果。

English teaching art will easily arouse students' learning interests, develop their commu nicative competence in English and cultivate their tastes for Western cultures. And teaching art runs through all links in teaching activities. A teacher will get twice the result with half the effort if he (she) successfully applies teaching art to his (her)teaching.
