CHINA'S EARLY MODERN PHYSICIST WANG PU

本文介绍有关我国本世纪早期物理学家王普的一些传记资料。王普最重要的贡献在于核物理学的研究。他曾留学德国,在迈特纳的集体中工作。后来任教国内外,对山东大学物理系的创建起过主要作用。他热心于科学知识的传播,并有一些流行颇广的著译品。

This article presents some biographical materials related to the Chinesephysicist Wang Pu,whose name was rather well-known in China durinngthe 1930's and 19(?)0's.Wang had been in Berlin working in L.Meitner'sgroup before he taught at home and abroad.He played a leading role in theestablishment of the Physics Department of Shandong University.His mostimportant contribution was in the study of nuclear physics.He had writtenand translated a number of popular articles and books.
