Ion-exchange selectivities of amorphous hydrous titanium dioxide (A_m-HTDO) as inorganic ion exchanger were discussed for some heavy metal ions, the possibility of separation of heavy metal ions by using this material was presented, and the preliminary approach to the mechanism of selective absorption of heavy metal ions were also done.
