A brief introduction has been given to the characteristics of hospital architecture and the new concept for design of heating and warm water supply. The difference from the conventional design concept lies in a combination of steam and warm water boilers and centralized and local heat supply, which is practical for hospital purpose. Being a quite new idea, the 'sleeve - in - sleeve' technology may allow one piece of equipment for supplying both heating and warm water at the same time. It is also of a number of unique advantages that makes the system more economic, efficient and easy to operate, which is particulary applicable for comprehensive hospital use.
