The physical properties of Si, Ti, P and Zn modified γ Al 2O 3 supports and hydrodesulfurization (HDS) activity of CoMo/modified γ Al 2O 3 catalysts were studied. The results show that: (1) a little modifier (2%) can obviously influence the physical properties of γ Al 2O 3 support; (2) the HDS activity of the CoMo/ γ Al 2O 3 catalyst is improved by using the Si Zn modified support; (3) the XRD results show that zinc aluminate spinel is formed in Zn modified γ Al 2O 3 and it is very stable under severe sulfurization conditions; (4) the HDS rate, diolefin hydrogenation rate and bromine number of product oil of LH 02 catalyst for pyrolysis gasoline are better than those of catalyst A and catalyst B.
