The Short-term Fluctuation of light Threshold in the Central Field

The research was made into the short-term fluctuation (SF) of light threshold in the central field of the normals and early glaucoma with the Humphrey Field Analyzer. There is statistic difference among age groups, but not between the male and the female and between the eyes. SF increases greatly in the early glaucoma with visual field defects, but little in the early glaucomawithout the visual field defects. We also discuss the causes of the SF in normals and early glaucoma and define the range of normal and abnormal SF.
