试论高校图书馆在学生素质教育中的作用

Role of college and university library in students' quality education

素质教育的推行对高校图书馆的工作提出了更高的要求 ,发挥高校图书馆在素质教育中的作用应做到以下几个方面 :( 1)优化藏书结构 ;( 2 )加快信息资源建设 ;( 3)利用现代设备与传统设施相结合 ,培养学生独立获取和处理信息的能力 ;( 4 )结合形势 ,开展多种形式的宣传、教育活动 ;( 5)优化读书环境 。

More significant tasks have been entrusted to college and university library since the practice of quality education. Role of the library in quality education includes following aspects. (1) Optimization of the collection of books. (2) Accelerating the construction of information resource. (3) Utilizing the modern equipments combined with traditional facilities to develop students' ability to obtain and handle informations independently. (4) Carrying out various types of propaganda and education in the light of situation. (5) Optimization of learning environment to exert an imperceptible influence of students' thinking and make them reach a higher ideological level.
