摘要
The University for Industry（UfI）which has provided its web－based courses since 2000 is an innovative project proposed by the Government of UK in the 1990s． It will be a flagship of educational innovation in the UK in 21st century． It has been designed to be a totally on－line distributed learning system based on the national information infrastructure． The information and telecommunications technology has been developed very fast in the UK and the UfI has chosen a much challenged solution after comparing of several modes of IT delivery． The responsibilities， the targets， and the perspectives of the UfI has been discussed．
