Researches on the Sustainable Development of China's West

可持续发展是全球社会经济发展的重大战略，也是当前我国西部开发过程中的核心战略选择。本文探讨了西部地区的现状、可持续发展面临的优势和约束条件，认为西部大开发是实现区域可持续发展目标的必经之路，并提出了相应的对策建议。

Sustainable development is of strategic importance to the economic development of the world, and it is also vital to the present westward advancement. This paper approaches on the present situations of the west, advantages ＆disadvantages concerning sustainable development of the western regions. The author states that the great development project of the west is the only way to achieve the goal of regional sustainable development and proposes relevant suggestions on policy making.
