Monometallic mercury,mercury-antimony ores and concentrates and also intermediate productsof heavy non-ferrous metals prodnction are basic source of mercury production in USSR.Processing of mercury-containing raw materials is made basically by oxidative roasting and partlyby hydrometallurgical method.Roasting is characterized by the formation of large quantity oftechnological gases,sanitary purification of which from mercury is an expensive and complexprocess,and by entrainment of large quantities of dust,leading to the formation of poor stupp,
