The Method to Speed up Projection Operation in Relational Database System

投影运算在关系数据库的各种运算中是比较费时的一种.本文给出了一种加快关系数据库中投影运算的方法.本算法的硬件模拟易由 VLSI 技术实现,也易采用并行处理技术.

A new method is presented in this article to speed up the projection operations in a relational database system.The times of disk access are reduced by this method while projection opreation is being performed.Disk addresses are treated as dath in index fi- les and are processed during the implementaion of the algorithm.Handware simulation of the algorithm can easily be realized by means of VLSI technology and parallel pro- ccssing.
