In this paper we described the early embryonic development of allotetraploid hybrids of red crucian carp(Carassius auratus red var.)(♀)×common carp( Cyprinus carpio L. )(♂).The eggs of allotetrapliod hybrids were sticky.The average diameter of the egg was (1.7±0.1)mm.At the water temperature of (21±0.5)℃,the fertilized eggs began the first cleavage 80?min after fertilization.The embryos were hatched 80.5?h after fertilization.
