我国应进一步加大对“纳米科学技术”的支持

Support for R&D of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Should be Farther Strengthened in China

2000年2月克林顿总统宣布将以4.95亿美元优先实施新的“全美纳米科技计划”(NNI),专门成立了由各部门专家组成的纳米科学工程和技术工作小组(IWGN)。这是由于纳米技术将对21世纪的经济和社会产生巨大影响。可能引导下一个工业革命。我国纳米科技研究起步不晚,而且取得了很好成果,为了避免再次像半导体产业一样,起步不晚而最终又被远远抛在先进国家后面,提出国家加大经费投入、与纳米技术应用部门加强联系、加强国际学术交流、成立国家级“纳米科学技术指导协调小组”等六点建议。

President Clinton of the United States announced in February,2000 that the“National Nanotech- nology Initiative”(NNI)would preferentially be put in practice with the financial support of 495 million dollars and a working group for nanoscience and nanotechnology(IWGN)has been set up,which consists of experts from all de- partments concerned.The mentioned measures results from the deliberation that nanotechnology will exert tremen- dous impact on the development of economy and society in the 21^(st) century and may lead to next industrial revolution. The research of nanotechnology in China has not started too late and encouraging achievements have been made.To avoid the similar situation as the industry of semi-conductors has experienced in the country,in which in started early but left its development in developed countries far behind eventually,the article makes six proposals,such as,the gov- ernment should allocate more funds,research institutions for nanoscience and nanotechnology should closely he asso- ciated with organigation of the application of nanotechnology,international cooperation in this field should he farther strengthened and a group of national level for the guidance and coordination of the research and development of nano- science and nanotechnology should he set up.
