摘要
元数据是虚拟图书馆建设的关键技术之一。本文从虚拟图书馆的元数据著录项目为何宜选用都柏林核心元素集 。
? Meatadta is one of the key technologies in the construction of virtual library.The following three topics are discussed in this paper:(1)why Dublin Core Element Set is suitable for cataloging items in the construction of virtual library;(2)why XML is suitable for cataloging form in the construction of virtual library;and (3)logical structure and metadata analysis in the virtual library.The conclusion is that the combination of Dublin Core and XML is the ideal metadata in the construction of virtual library.
