摘要
本文报导广东及海南常见的褐藻23种,对其形态、分布、用途分别作了描述和介绍。指出海南省年产马尾藻可达18～20万担(干品),广东省可达20多万担(干品)。它是提取褐藻胶、甘露醇、碘和马尾藻精的主要原料,也是养殖鲍鱼的良好饲料。
Guangdong province facing the south China sea belongs to subtropical zone. There are several hundred is-lands along coastilne of Guangdong. Among them Hainan Island is the largest one near the mainland, the sea coastline of the mainland is Crooked. There are many excellent gulfs and big and small rivers as well. The most famous rivers are Pearl river and Han river. Much organic materials flow from these rivers into the South China sea creating excellent conditions for the habitation and reproduction of fisheries and hydrophytes.
We had collected many specimens of seaweeds from 1980-1988 along the coastline in Guangdong province (including Hainan Island). So far 23 species of common brown algae have been found by the authors.
