After the Cold War, the regionalization and globalization of world economy has been sped up, and the economic integration has brought rapid economic growth in Europe and Asia. This has prompted the United States and Latin American countries to advance and carry out their integration program. This article begins with an exposition of the historical origins and the evolution of American integration and then analyzes the respective trends of the United States and Latin American countries. Finally, it states the author's views about the prospects of American economic integration.
