Leflunomide is the first drug to modify the process of rheumatoid arthritis(RA) with special mechanism of action.Foreign and domestic clinical trials have revealed that leflunomide is more effective for treatment of RA with mild and less adverse events and that it can effectively control the development of RA;retard the damage of bone and joints;and improve the patients' quality of life.It represents an effective drug for treatment of RA.
