Knowledge is a necessary and sustainable resource to maintenance competitive advantage. Knowledge stocks are static, and represent knowledge repertory levels of a system at a time point, and reflect status of producing knowledge and innovative potential of a system. Knowledge flows are dynamic, and represent knowledge flow volume in a system during a certain period, and reflect the speed and degree of knowledge diffusion of the system. Knowledge stocks and knowledge flows are closely correlative.
