An Improvement on the Seal Form of a Rotary Air Heater

分析回转式空气预热器的漏风因素及现行密封形式的优缺点 ,提出回转式空气预热器“单密封”向“双密封”形式改进的理论依据及可行性研究。通过几个发电厂实际改进效果表明 。

Based on the analysis of the air leakage factor of roatary air heaters and the merits and demerits of traditional seal forms the author has presented the theoretical basis for the improvement of a rotary air heater seal. This consists in incorporating the change of its 'single seal' form to a 'dual seal' one. Furthermore, a feasibility study concerning the above change is also given. Judging by the actual improvement attained at several power plants it can be shown that the method recommended by the author represents an effective approach for lowering the air leakage rate of the rotary air heater.
