In order to simulate more reasonably and economically the interaction between turbulence and finite rate kinetics,a second order moment PDF turbulence chemistry model for NO x formation is proposed.The PDF transport equation model,simplified PDF model,simplified PDF model with partial equilibrium,and second order moment model,which are all used to simulate the turbulence chemistry in NO x formation,are compared with the second order moment PDF tubulence chemistry model.The NO x formation in methane air combustion is simulated numerically with the second order moment PDF turbulence chemistry model.
