刘熙载与20世纪中国传统美学的命运

摘要 美学在中国 ,应该从中国美学、中国古典美学、中国传统美学三个层面去考察。中国古典美学在 19世纪后半期完成了它的总结形态 ,它的总结和终结 ,可以其末代大师刘熙载作为标志。我们今天对它的研究 ,应该纳入中国美学史的范畴 ,不必去费尽心机作什么“转换” ;而中国传统美学 ,则正是来日方长、前途无量的学科领域。如果着眼于中国传统美学对中国古典美学的学理延伸和发扬光大而言 ,应该从刘熙载“接着讲” ,或者更准确地说 ,从刘熙载经王国维、宗白华、朱光潜接着讲。 Aesthetics in China might be probed in the fields of Chinese aesthetics,classical Chinese aesthetics and traditional Chinese aesthetics.The classical Chinese aesthetics put an end to its summing-up state in the latter half of the 19th century,which might be marked by Liu Xizhai,a great master.Our present research of it should be included in the history of Chinese aesthetics instead of making great efforts to do any transformations,The traditional Chinese aesthetics has a very bright future.As far as the traditional Chinese aesthetics'scholarly extension of and great contribution to the classical Chinese aesthetics are concerned,we may continue our discussion from Liu Xizhai,or more exactly,from Liu Xizhai to Wang Guowei,Zhong Beihua and Zhu Guangqian.
