Detecting formation pressure by Combs method can eliminate the influence of drilling pa-rameters and bit wear on drilling rate, has a high accuracy and can do some measurements and logging evaluation while drilling. It is not necessary to establish the normal tendency curve, sim-plifying drawing and also reducing the amount of interpretation work.
